Hello Fellow Members!
Just a bit of a recap for you since my last message. The County has passed the new DC Charges at Council on October 22, 2024 and come into force on November 1, 2024. Please note that there is a 40 day appeal period from the date of approval by the County. The City of Brantford has completed their New Zoning By-Law Companion and Official Plan Amendment and passed the Zoning By-Law on September 24. The official Plan was approved by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing on August 4, 2024.
A reminder that our AGM will be held at the Best Western in Brantford on November 13. Please RSVP with Fred so we can confirm numbers. Also, mark your calendars for November 29th for the BHBA Christmas party. There is LIMITED spots available, and they go quickly so please claim your spot now
This president’s message is a bittersweet one as this is my last one with Fred at the helm. I want to convey my utmost gratitude for his assistance, guidance and advice. It means more to me than you could know. Fred, although you aren’t going far you will be missed in this role.
Lastly, I want to warmly welcome Angela DeVries as she formally steps into the EO role on November 1st. We are already excited to start a new chapter and look forward to making just as many memories together. We are here to listen to you but more importantly to take action. Let us know if we can help.
