As we move into March, there is a real sense of momentum building across our industry. The arrival of spring always signals the start of another construction season, and throughout Brantford and the County of Brant we are seeing continued demand for housing and development even though it is slower than normal. Our members remain at the heart of this growth, bringing expertise, innovation, and dedication to every project that helps build our community.

This month also provides an important opportunity to recognize the people who make our industry stronger. During Women in Residential Construction Week, we celebrated the incredible contributions of women across our sector—from planners and engineers to tradespeople, business owners, and industry leaders. Their talent, leadership, and mentorship are shaping the future of residential construction, and we are proud to highlight their work and stories on Instagram and Facebook.

The Association continues to focus on advocacy and collaboration with our municipal and industry partners. Ensuring that policies support housing supply and affordability remains a key priority. Conversations around measures such as reducing the tax burden on new homes are critical to stimulating construction, supporting jobs, and helping more families achieve home ownership. BHBA will continue to be a strong voice for our industry.

We are also looking forward to some excellent opportunities to connect with members and partners in the coming weeks. Our Build Brantford Luncheon on March 27 promises to be a fantastic event bringing our industry together for networking, conversation, and inspiration. Events like this remind us that our association is not just about business—it is about relationships, collaboration, and building a strong community.

Thank you to all of our members, volunteers, and corporate partners for the time, energy, and commitment you bring to the association and to our industry. Your support allows the BHBA to continue advocating, educating, and connecting the residential construction community in Brantford and the County of Brant.

As always, I look forward to seeing many of you at upcoming events.
