We would like to welcome our new Executive Officer for the Brantford Home Builders’ Association, Jennifer Stuart, brings more than 43 years of experience in residential construction and industry leadership. She spent 42 years with Gord’s General Contracting, where she held wide-ranging responsibilities spanning on-site construction, home design, administration, and customer service before retiring in 2025.
Jennifer’s background includes shingling, framing, trimming, insulation and vapour barrier, painting, and cabinet finishing and installation, as well as payroll, HST, job costing, and designing many of Gord’s homes. She also supported homeowners throughout the building process, including selections, colour coordination, and Tarion walk-throughs. A BHBA member since 2010 and BHBA President in 2019 and 2020, Jennifer offers a strong, firsthand understanding of both the successes and ongoing challenges within the home building industry. OHBA and CHBA are advocating the government to remove the HST from all new homes temporarily to kick start the housing industry. We will be assisting in their social media campaigns.
